Random Access Memory (RAM)
RAM is short for Random Access Memory. RAM is one of the most fundamental elements of computing. RAM is the main place for storing instructions and data whilst a program is being executed. If a system has small amount of RAM, it can be slow and sluggish. RAM is almost always being actively used by a computer. If a PC is slow or unresponsive then a memory upgrade may be required.
